Custom Window Grilles - Types
Colonial Window Grilles are the ever-popular style of wood window grilles that separates your plain window into equally divided panes that enhance the appeal of your home. See diagram below.
Queen Anne Wood Window Grilles, also known as Victorian, Craftsman, or Prairie Style Grilles, were made popular by the well-known designer and architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Although they may not look "right" with every home style, if they do, they can add a dramatic effect to the overall look of your home. See diagram below.
Insert Grids are frameless window grilles that consist of just the cross pieces without the frames. They provide an economical alternative to the full surround grilles, giving up just a little of the finished look on the inside. From the outside, they look exactly the same. A little bit of easy self-assembly with detailed instructions is required but this is offset with a savings in both price and associated shipping cost. See diagram below.
